Geordie Watson Bonspiel

Monday evening saw the annual Geordie Watson Christmas Bonspiel. It was a great turnout from the club with 8 teams competing for the trophy in a progressive, 6 end game and the ice pad looked really festive with everyone in their Christmas jumpers and hats! A good fun, friendly competition was enjoyed by all those who took part and it was great to get together as a club at the end of the evening for a meal in the restaurant.
The winners with a fantastic score of +9 were Margaret Levack (skip), Iain Callan, Rona Mcalister and Douglas Carruthers seen here being presented with their trophy and prizes by Club President Tom Steele.
At the other end of draw, Jim Stewart's team won the booby prize of minatues from Tom's drinks cabinet!!
We hope this won't be the last social event of the curling year and wish everyone a Happy Christmas and a safe and healthy New Year!
